Self care journey. December 7th.

We are oftentimes far too rough with ourselves, judgmental, and we accept from ourselves far more than we would from others. Today, we will focus on our thoughts, and work on rewire all those « I should », « I have to » that are bugging us. Is it really useful? Is it really mandatory? What if I took another path? What if I refused to do it? Is it something I put on myself, or does it come from others? Is it about my own expectations or about what others expect from me? Let’s use our discernment and stop abusing ourselves.

Today, be soft with yourself. Because you deserve it.

Self care journey. December 6th

Today, we focus on our breath. I really love this exercise. When I inhale, I imagine that a purifying and clearing air fills me. When I exhale, I imagine that I free everything I don’t need anymore. At the end of the day, I feel good, peaceful, and I managed to go through it without loosing too much of my energy in worthless things. Just because I decided to breathe mindfully each hour!

So today, center on your breath and on what really matters.

Self care journey. December 5th.

Music has always been my emotions companion. It is able to uplift me, or to guide me into the depths of my soul. I can’t spend a day without listening to music, without playing music. It is part of my life.

Today, you are proposed to make a playlist of uplifting, feel good, appeasing music. It can be music that makes you willing to dance, or to relax. Whatever answers your needs, the emotions you want to feel right now. Personally, I have several options:

  • I can go for jazz, because this music is linked, in my mind, to beautiful nights spent in good company, and is my appeasing, communion music of choice.
  • I can also choose tribal, traditional music, as its rhythms motivates me, resonate deep within and spark my creativity.
  • I can opt for epic, symphonic music, to let go, to go with the flow.
  • I can go for songs linked to specific memories, beautiful moments, or the smiles of my friends and family.
  • I can also choose folk music, even metal folk or indie folk, because I love this genre in all its forms.
  • I can indeed pick electronic music, to get energized and help me do whatever I need to do. Or metal, for the same reason… or a mix of both.
  • Or I can choose to make a mix of all of them, because I feel like it!

There is no rules. Or maybe one: enjoy music. Let it take you far away, let its rhythms and harmonies rejuvenate you.

Concretely, I can make my playlist on Youtube, or Spotify, or on the app I have installed on my phone, or even on my computer with the music files I have on it… I love making playlists, to meditate, to write, or draw, to wake me up on my way to work, to relax me on my way back, to get me to bed, to give a soundtrack to rainy days, sunny mornings…. for every occasion, really! And I also keep some silent moments… i am not scared at all to remain in silence hahaha.

Self care journey. December 4th

I always have a ton of projects in my head, and so little time to materialize them! So today, I will take some time to plan one, steps by steps. When the time has come to do it, I will only have to follow the steps to materialize it. No pressure, no avoidance, just following each steps, and enjoy the result of it.

It’s not about planning a huge or complex project, but just something simple, that you can actually do, that you care about. Give yourself this little extra motivation by planing each steps and know that you can correct course any time you need to.

And yes, I made you something to help you get into it! In both A5 and A4 versions, as usual!

Let’s go, let’s get this done!!

Self care journey. December 3rd.

This habit often took be out of difficult times, because it makes us looking at something else that the negative surrounding us. And yes, sometimes, it wasn’t that easy to find even only 3 things… but even the smallest one is valuable. And the feedback is also really important. Seeing our list grow, reading it…

Once more, don’t pressure yourself. You can do it daily, or just when you feel like it. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Remember, you do it for you, that’s it. Not for me, not to follow the rules. You do it, because it will make you feel good. And it will. Oftentimes, we focus on the loud brasant drama around us, owerwhelming us, while the little things are sparks, whispers… once you aware of them, you will discover they are everywhere!

And I have a surprise for you! I made special pagees to record them !! Both in A5 and A4. You can print as many as you need!

Grab them, and start harvesting your sparks!

I don’t know what this day will bring me, but I will raise my awareness to make sure I don’t miss the magic of it. I’ll post my pic tonight!

Self-care journey. December 1st.

Today I grabbed the notebook I made for december (you can find it here, and print it if you feel inclined to, in either A5 or AA), and I added a page I made to write down what really matters to me, all month long. I am using the A5 version of the notebook, so I also made a page for december 31st, where I will write everything that happened this year, before making my little cards.

This is the french version, the one I am going to use, but the file you will find below is for the english version.

I also made a A4 page for today, as the 31st is already good as it is.

Today is about picking your notebook or journal, to get it ready it, and to set your intent on taking care of yourself all month long. Let me be clear: you don’t have to get a notebook, you don’t have to write anything down. You can also choose to keep this experience within. Because we all deserve to take care of this unique person who will stay with us our whole life: ourselves.

Cartes de décembre/ December cards

Je n’ai pas pu m’empêcher de faire des cartes à partir de ma liste, pour ceux qui voudraient en piocher une par jour, ou pour offrir à quelqu’un qui en aurait besoin. Un joli ruban autour, et le tour est joué! J’ai même ajouté une page à imprimer au dos des cartes pour les rendre encore plus jolies (mon imprimante a un souci d’alignement des pages, le motif est donc décentré sur mes cartes, mais j’aime bien l’effet que ça donne, donc pas de souci pour moi!). J’espère qu’elles vous plaisent!

I couldn’t help but making those little cards with my list. So you can either pick one a day, or even wrap them with a nice ribbon and offer them to someone who may need them. I even added a patterned page to print on the back of the cards (my printer is having fun with me right now, and the pattern is clearly of center, but I like it that way, so I don’t mind my printer tantrum… there!). I hope you will like them!
